BlueLoop was created by Pam Henry for her daughter who has type 1 diabetes. This is a web based tool that for children with diabetes. The web tool is designed to help facilitate communication in the home, clinic, and the schools. The apps provide iPhone, iPad, and android users and it gives them the ability to document and share valuable information about diabetes. Blue Loop is based out of Dallas Texas and has been striving. A BlueLoop account is $7.95 a month and is a nonprofit organization, which depends on subscriptions and donations to support their mission.

Myglu is a nonprofit organization that actively researches ways to help fight type 1 diabetes. Myglu is an attached to a vast community called T1D Exchange. “T1D help researchers save time by providing the research community with seamless access to high quality resources needed to conduct research projects, studies and clinical trials. The organization has been around since 2009 and developed into a widely-recognized resource in the type 1 diabetes fight.” This new and innovative app allows clients to have some of there general questions answered, to learn what’s new in research and to gain valuable information.

MySugr Junior app is designed for a positive communication between individuals living with diabetes and their caregivers.  This app gives the caregiver a sense of control and allows them to manage the client closer. Most children are not aware of the seriousness of type 1 diabetes. The app allows for a playful interaction which children that encourage kids to take care of their diabetes. Here are a few features that the web app displays: you can enter blood glucose levels, insulin and carbs, it takes photos, and it allows you to send data and photos through email.
